Intro to Piecing and Machine Quilting

Come and learn the basics of quilting with a sewing machine: cutting, designing, piecing, layering the quilt together, quilting with a machine, and binding as you make a 4-block wall hanging that measures 24x24 inches.  This class will meet 4 times. You may have to do some homework in between to be able to finish your project in time. Recommended for any age of beginner, child or adult.

There are a limited number of sewing machines available to use at A Time to Craft for a small fee, or you can bring your own from home to use. To reserve a machine, please select that add on when you register. If you have no previous sewing machine experience, please plan to stop in during open studio time or come early to the first class to learn how to use the machine before we begin.  If you are bringing your own machine, please make sure you select the Class Only option when registering.

Class includes instruction, patterns, batting, and tools to use during the class. You can bring your own quilting cotton fabric and coordinating thread, or you can shop from our stash. Class members save 15% off retail price for any fabrics purchased during class time. Please come early to shop before class begins! For the wall hanging, you need 3 fat quarters for the blocks and 1 yard of coordinating fabric for the sashing, backing and binding.  If you aren't sure what that means - stop in and Rachel can help!

Doors open 30 minutes prior to class. Teaching starts promptly at time of class. This helps classes stay on schedule. Thank you for your understanding.

Refund Policy:

You may receive a full refund if you notify the studio no later than 48 hours before your scheduled class. A studio credit will be issued for use towards another class if you have to cancel any time after that. No shows will, unfortunately, receive no form of refund.
